Delight customers with NEW local pickup option
Looking for a faster, less expensive, and more convenient way to fulfill your ecommerce store orders?
Local pickup as a delivery option is now available to all Shopify merchants! At the checkout, your customers will be able to select the option to pick up the contents of their cart at one of your local brick-and-mortar locations instead of having it shipped.
This option will provide an overall better customer experience by reducing shipping costs and wait times—which is often extended these days thanks to COVID-19—for your customers.
Here’s how it works:
When a customer lands on your product page, their IP address is used to sort the list of your locations in the back-end. Fallback to alphabetical sorting is used if the location cannot be determined based on the IP address. There is also an option to sort locations by proximity to your customer based on a location input field. The component appears on products that are assigned to a pickup location; when the location does not offer pickup, this component should not be visible.
